ALTERCARE POST-ACUTE REHABILITATION CENTER WINS NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD

Altercare Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center (APRC) in Brimfield Township has received the American Health Care Association Silver National Quality Award. This three-tiered award program recognizes quality long-term care providers across the country. APRC is the only Silver award winner in Ohio, with only 31 facilities nationwide receiving the Silver level award this year.

The American Health Care Association implemented the National Quality Award program in 1996, centered on the criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. This award is a distinction given to member facilities for applying continuous quality improvement principles, demonstrating success in initiating improvements and measuring results.

This year, more than 1,000 applications were received from facilities in 46 different states. The program maintains meticulous criteria at each level, and the awards must be earned in succession of Bronze, Silver and Gold.

According to Paige Powell, Administrator of Altercare Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center, "Excellence in rehabilitation care is our goal, and we are dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and delivering rehabilitation results."
