Changes in policies and procedures, staffing, training, and quality of care have greatly improved an individual’s experience in a nursing home. In fact, the term nursing home isn’t often used anymore – these care centers are now commonly called skilled nursing or long-term care communities.
At Altercare, our care centers provide a home-away-from-home for people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home. A licensed physician supervises each patient’s care. We have skilled nurses and nursing aides on hand 24 hours a day. Our staff provides medical care, as well as physical, speech and occupational therapy. Our comprehensive care includes help getting in and out of bed, and providing assistance with feeding, bathing, and dressing.
And ultimately, our staff engages with our residents as if they were family, friends or neighbors. Our care centers are not only for the elderly, but for anyone who requires 24-hour care.
