Altercare of Cuyahoga Falls Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care has been recognized as one of the 2009 recipients of the national Step I Quality Award presented by the American Health Care Association. The award recognizes demonstrated quality performance and continuous quality improvement. Only 17 facilities in the state of Ohio received the 2009 Step I award, and Altercare of Cuyahoga Falls is the only winner in Northeast Ohio.
The AHCA Quality Award is a distinction given to member facilities for applying continuous quality improvement principles, demonstrating success in initiating improvements and measuring results. The award criteria are based on the Baldrige National Quality Award program's core values and concepts.
